[LEGAL REVIEW] This summary describes how Gossip Globe is built. Counsel must review it against COPPA, GDPR/GDPR-K, UK GDPR + the Age Appropriate Design Code, the California Age-Appropriate Design Code Act and CCPA/CPRA before launch.

What we collect

  • Guests: a random anonymous session ID and your game guesses (map coordinates) so we can score them.
  • Accounts (13+): a nickname you choose, an object avatar, your age range (not your birth year), your scores, stamps and streak.
  • Email: only if you sign in (Google or a 6-digit email code), to keep your progress on any device. Your email is never shown to other players. Daily “Tea Time is live” and streak emails are opt-in and every one has a one-tap unsubscribe.
  • Glam members: payments are handled by Stripe. We store your plan and renewal date, never your card details. To enforce one free trial / one gift week per person we keep a keyed, irreversible fingerprint of your email, even after you delete your data.
  • Under 13: nothing server-side is tied to you. Games are scored anonymously and not linked to any account.

What we never do

  • No public profiles, no user search, no chat, no DMs.
  • No public leaderboard unless you switch it on. It’s off by default; when on, only your nickname, object avatar, score, streak and (for yearly members) an “It Girl” badge are shown. Friends and private leagues only see you if you joined them.
  • No precise location, contacts, camera or microphone access.
  • No ad trackers and no selling or sharing of personal data.

Analytics

[LEGAL REVIEW] We use privacy-friendly product analytics (PostHog, EU hosting) with identified profiles only for accounts. Session recording is off. Visitors in the EU/UK are asked first, and analytics stay off unless they accept. Event data never includes your email, nickname or answers.

Your choices

Delete your data at any time from Me → Delete my data. We delete it from our live database immediately and from backups within 30 days.
